They say everyone has their five minutes of fame, but for one local businesswoman her television appearance in the summer is still something people want to chat about.
Irene Ward Kendall, of Wold View House B&B, appeared on the Channel 4 series Four in a Bed back in July and since then everyone has been very keen to find out more about her experiences, especially the tension between Irene and fellow competitor Amanda.
So, rather than taking a break this winter, Irene has decided to get back in the kitchen and open the Wold View Tea Room every weekend from now until next April.
Situated at the second highest point on the Lincolnshire Wolds, the tea room can be found at Bully Hill Top, just one mile from the picturesque village of Tealby, on the crossroads of the B1225 and the B1203.
Sitting as it does next to the Viking Way, Wold View House tea room boasts lovely scenic views of the Wolds and the chance to enjoy traditional fayre in pleasant surroundings.
Every Saturday, Irene will be serving breakfasts – which received top marks on the Four in a Bed programme - hot lunches and light snacks from 11am to 6pm.
Then on Sundays, lunches will be available all day, from 11am to 5pm.
A keen supporter of Lincolnshire produce, Irene is proud to say most of the produce she serves in the tea room is sourced locally.
Among Irene’s top tastes from local producers are Tealby sausages, Lincolnshire Poacher cheese, Lincolnshire Yellow Belly and Cotehill Blue cheeses, Piper crisps and Sergeants ice cream.
