Haldane’s plans for Tattershall family newsagents and Post Office

PLANS to re-develop a Post Office and newsagents in Tattershall are due to be submitted by Haldanes Stores.

The supermarket chain, which moved into the village’s Market Place last year, wants to transform Barracks News and Post Office - adding a delicatessen and coffee shop into the space, whilst maintaining the current postal services.

Peter Barrack, 61, of Tattershall, sold his business to Haldanes last year, after running it for 44 years.

But no jobs will be lost and he will remain as the post master under the plans.
