Gourmet treat heads to Tealby

BUYING local products is something Tealby village shop is renowned for, and this Sunday, October 16, there is the chance to sample some of the area’s finest food at their open day.

There will be a proliferation of products on display in the neighbouring village hall from 10am-12 noon, so go along and have a true taste of Lincolnshire.

With ice-cream from Roes Dairy, Poacher and Cotehill cheeses, Tealby’s own sausages and burgers, Special Edition Chocolates, Claxby Wines and Pipers Crisps – to name just a few – there will be something for all ages... and if you find something you like, you can buy it there and then.

A number of the producers will also be on hand to talk about their products.

Tealby Village Shop is a true community shop which is open seven days a week.

It is run by a team of volunteers who value the Buy Local ethos and celebrated its seventh birthday this summer.

“We all believe in promoting local produce and we hope to show people just what our village shop has to offer,” said volunteer Bess Scott-Gunn.
