A great chance to find out first hand how our food is grown and produced sustainably is on offer this month at Open Farm Sunday.
Hall Farm in Stainton le Vale opens its doors to visitors on Sunday June 9.
Open Farm Sunday promises to be both a fascinating and enjoyable day out for the whole family with the chance to talk directly to the farmers who produce our food about how it’s done and what the future holds.
This annual nationwide event is organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) and along with Hall Farm, hundreds of other farms across the country will be hosting events to showcase British farming.
During your visit you find out about wheat and barley which is used in breakfast cereals, biscuits, bread and beer; oilseed rape which gives us one of the healthiest cooking oils and sugar beet.
The event is totally free and runs from 10am to 4pm.
