Market Rasen town councillors have seen a proposed office development as “brave and innovative.”
The Rasen Mail revealed earlier this month that plans have been submitted by Darren Lince and Sara Scott for a new development of high tech offices on land behind Grandad’s Shed in Queen Street.
Last week, Market Rasen Town Council’s Planning Committee said it could see the “potential benefits” the development would have for the town.
Councillors heard that although it was not shown on plans, there was a provision for daytime parking at a neighbouring property owned by one of the partners.
Alex Wright commented on the Rasen Mail Facebook: “This seems like a good idea. There’s no point making the high street sparkly and wonderful if there’s no one here to use it during the day.”
The town council had no objections to the application but West Lindsey District Council have the final say.
