Discount supermarket Aldi has confirmed it is looking to open a store in the Brigg area.
A spokesman from the company told the Rasen Mail various sites were being considered.
She said: “Aldi are considering various sites in North Lincolnshire with the possibility of stores in and around Brigg.”
The German supermarket chain, which has more than 9,000 stores in 18 countries, has recently seen a surge in popularity in Britain with families looking to save money on their food bills.
The spokesman said plans for a new store were still at the very early stages.
She said: “All sites are at a very early stage of investigation but we hope to continue to bring retail choice and high quality products at everyday low prices to shoppers in Lincolnshire.”
