The academy is for for apprentice technicians destined to work on air force bases across the globe and is the only one of its kind in the region.

It will provide more than 60 apprenticeship opportunities each year resulting in more than 150 jobs in the next three years.

Once trained, the students will support the fast jet fleets at RAF Conningsby, RAF Valley and RAF Marham.
