Oh they do like to be beside the seaside!! - do you?

Brigg Senior Citizens has organised three trips during the summer months.

And tickets are now on sale, priced £7.50, for the first of these scheduled for Tuesday May 20 to Bridlington.

Tickets can be bought at the Tourist Information Centre in The Buttercross.

Full details of departure times are on the tickets, with eight pick-up points around the town.

Wrawby residents are also able to take part.

The main departure point will be from Cary Lane at 9.55am.

Further details will be available later for the trips in July to Skegness and in early September to Scarborough.

Brigg District Lions are organising a Senior Citizen’s party on Thursday May 29, from 2pm onwards at Brigg Serviceman’s Club.

The afternoon will feature entertainment by Darren Knight, who specialises in Country and Western as well as 60’s music.

A high tea of fish and chips will be served at 5pm.

Tickets for the event are on sale at Brigg Pop-in or Brigg Serviceman’s Club.

Tickets cost £2 each, which is refundable on entry.

The event is a community event for the Senior Citizens of Brigg and its surrounding villages.

All are welcome.

Brigg Lunch Club

Brigg Senior Citizens Luncheon Club welcomes new members.

The club meets every Wednesday at 12 noon in The White Horse, where a two-course carvery lunch is on offer at £6.50.

Membership cards need to be obtained to attend and these cost a nominal £1 
from Brigg Tourist Information Centre in the Market Place.
