Darts, doms and quiz night

The Vic Edge darts and dominoes competition was organised by the Wolds Province of the RAOB (Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes) in memory of Vic Edge, whose widow Barbara took part.

Barbara also presented the trophies at the end of an exciting evening which saw Ian ‘Jibby’ Frame triumph at darts over Jack Wilson, both of Binbrook.

In the dominoes competition, Keith Wilson and Tony Bradley eventually beat Jill and Dave Wrisdale.

Around 40 people took part in the competition and the total raised for charity was a magnificent £208, for which the members and organiser Ernie Thompson thanked everyone.

Quiz night – Get your thinking heads on for the annual village quiz, which takes place this Saturday, May 30, in the village hall.

Teams of four are invited to pit their wits against each other under quiz master Doug Spivey.

There is a prize for the winning team and the parish council trophy will be awarded to the winning team representing a village group.

Cost is £5 per team and the bar will be open.
