The academic year for Caistor Yarborough came to an exciting finale with the annual awards ceremony.
Tony Maund, Chair of Governors, welcomed everyone and headteacher Jeremy Newnham shared his vision of the future for the school. More than 100 students gained recognition and celebrated a successful year at the event, joined by their families.
Awards ranged from Citizenship and Achievement to Attitude and Effort.
Cups were also presented to outstanding students.
The Claire Bloomfield Cup was awarded to Callum Jackson, The Melanie Pope Memorial String Trophy to Alexandra Smith, The Arthur Spalding Trophy for Citizenship to Hollie Baldwin, The Marrows Trophy to Kaysie Les, the Sporting Trophy to Cherstine Scholtz and the Headteacher’s Award was won by James Robertson.
The evening began with a celebratory drink and canapés, prepared by Kingswood Catering, served in the Hub and students, Sophie Wilson and Logan Brammer, entertained with their musical talents.
The academy is now ready for the next academic year and look forward to welcoming the new year 7.
