A party of 24 members travelled to Osgodby for what was a long awaited visit to Cote Hill Farm, the home of the now nationally famous Cote Hill Blue and Yellow Belly cheeses.
They were given a very warm welcome by owners Michael and Mary Davenport.
After being given a brief history of how the couple, after farming for more than 20 years, had to change direction, they were given a guided tour of the premises.
Now joined by son Joe, the family has won many awards over the years, initially for milk and more recently for many varieties of cheese.
It proved to be a really interesting evening, enjoyed by all, and everyone enjoyed the samples of the different cheeses and biscuits which brought a lovely evening to an end, with an opportunity for the guests to make purchases if they wished.
