What better way to spend a Sunday, than strolling around other people’s gardens.
Next month, head to Binbrook and see some of the delights of this Wolds’ village .
August 2 will see eight gardens open to the public for viewing, including one at Brookenby and one at nearby Kingsmead Park Swinhope.
The trail starts at the village hall, where programmes, which act as the admission to gardens, will be on sale at £3 per adult.
Entry for children is free, but they must be accompanied at all times.
There is ample parking at the village hall, with an overflow car park at the school.
The hall will also play host to photographic and art displays, a plant stall, tombola and the sale of refreshments.
The open gardens event coincides with the annual garage sale, so there will be a number of chances to rummage and perhaps pick up a bargain or two.
Organised by the village garden club, the event runs from 10am to 4pm and will be raising money for the reading room restoration fund.
