Jose Grayson was in the chair for the February meeting of Market Rasen Gardening Club, where they welcomed three speakers.
Marion Clark was first, speaking on taking photographs for the competition in November.
She was followed by May Bennett, who demonstrated flower arranging in the round which is required at both the club’s shows.
And finally it was John Bennett, who demonstrated how to present daffodils for showing.
Jill and Peter Sellers have donated a new trophy to the club which will be awarded to the best in show and it was presented to Derek Anderson, the new deputy chairman, by Jill.
Leaflets for the summer trips were given out, which include trips to Firvale Allotments, York Gate Garden, Sledmere House and Gardens, and RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.
On Tuesday May 26, the club meeting will take place at Whisby Nature Reserve following on from the talk by the warden there last year. A free bus will leave Market Rasen Market Place at 6pm.
The next meeting will be on March 24 in the Methodist Schoolroom, which is the spring show and AGM.
Exhibits must be ready for judging by 8pm and Non members welcome to exhibit.
