Something for everyone at Rasen Hub

THERE is something for everyone at the Rasen Hub this year.

The Union Street Hub is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to support and empower local people to maintain a prosperous town – and it has a range of sessions on offer in 2012.

Paper craft and scrap booking run on alternate weeks on Tuesdays at 7pm. Both cost £5 and include materials. For information call Barbara Hancock on 01673 828361.

Hub Craft Club is held every Wednesday at 2pm and costs £2 per session. Everyone is welcome to attend and try out more than 21 different crafts.

Credit Union is at the Hub on Thursdays at 10am to offer help and low cost loans to residents.

Monthly advice and information sessions are held from 10am to 1pm on the first Friday of each month. There is a different theme every month and various services will be there to offer help and support.

On the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 12pm, residents are invited to the Monthly Town Forum. This is a chance for people to air their views, take part in the Neighbourhood Plan and chat with councillors.

Craft courses include driftwood mobiles on Monday, January 16, sea glass mosaics on Monday, February 6 and rag wall hangings on Monday, February 27.

The Hub is now open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 1pm and manned by a centre coordinator and a small group of volunteers.
