Fans of Blues music are in for a treat this month with the first International Bluesfest at Holton le Moor.
The Hope Tavern presents a full day of top class Blues Acts from the USA, Germany and the UK on Sunday, May 19, from midday to 10pm.
And with a double headline of the Hamilton Loomis band and the Mick Pini band, this is a day any blues fan should not miss.
Spanning youth and tradition, Hamilton Loomis is one of the young artists at the forefront of bringing blues-based American music into the 21st century and redefining it for a contemporary audience.
Touring non-stop since 2001, he has brought his funk-i-fied Texas music to audiences all over the USA and the world, recently earning two “Best Artist” awards in England and Wales.
One of the UK’s true Blues “Greats” Mick Pini is a regular visitor to the Hope Tavern and never disappoints.
His uncompromising adherence to a genuine belief in his music has never been deflected.
The event is undercover and support is from the Steve Fulsham Band and Blues Boy Kings. Top Hat Guitars will also be exhibiting a sample range from their collection of classic vintage guitars and Tom Wood will be serving his range of Real Ales.
Bluesfest tickets cost £15 and are available from the Hope Tavern on 01673 828217 or 0797 0601240.
