Sing out with choral society’s new season

Sing out with Market Rasen Choral Society

The new season for Market Rasen and District Choral Society kicks off next week.

And this year, the group is pleased to be able to offer some help to young people, aged 16 to 18 years, who would like to join.

This will include paying their subscription and help with transport to rehearsals, if needed.

The bursary will be funded by money from the Market Rasen Junior Choir, latterly known as Raising Voices Youth Choir, which was directed by Sue Heron, with accompanist Trish Towell.

The original Junior Choir was funded by the Choral Society.

This year, The Christmas concert will be held on a Sunday afternoon, with a programme of seasonal music and the Spring Concert will be Haydn’s ‘The Creation’.

The Choral Society welcomes new members of all ages; there are no auditions.

Go along to the first rehearsal, on Tuesday, September 3, at 7.30pm in Market Rasen Primary School, or the next Tuesday.
