Brigg Amateur Social Historians met for its October meeting at the Brigg Servicemen’s Club when ‘The Highest Excellent Princess’ (Lady Anne Mowbray) was the subject of an illustrated talk by Marilyn Roberts.

The November meeting saw an illustrated talk on Mary Queen of Scots by David Templeman.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday December 2 and will be on a subject of particular local interest– Frodingham Ironstone.

The illustrated talk will be by local geologist Paul Hildreth, who for many years was Head of Geography at Huntcliffe School in Kirton Lindsey.

The Social Historians will again have the meeting at Brigg and District Servicemen’s Club in Coney Court.

The meeting is free, but there is a raffle, and refreshments are provided.
