This evocative picture from days gone by is another from the collection of images passed on to Rase Heritage Society by the Cottingham family, whose family traded in the town for many years.
The picture shows John Lee, a fish and game dealer, presumably out and about on his rounds.
Mr Lee was the grandfather of Kitty Cottingham, who featured on last week’s Those were the days page.
Mr Lee also had a shop at 1 Oxford Street, which is now Rhodes Electrical.
When did the shop cease to be Lee’s? Can any of our readers tell us?
