The Wolds Events trip to RAF Scampton proved so popular that two vehicles had to be taken to accommodate residents of all ages, from the villages of Binbrook and Brookenby.
And the heritage fans had a packed day visiting the Heritage Centre and the Museum of RAF Firefighting.
The centre includes a certain dog’s grave and Guy Gibson’s office, as well as a host of artefacts and information on RAF Scampton, especially the famous ‘Dambusters’.
And the Museum of RAF Firefighting is a jam packed collection of firefighting memorabilia.
Transport for the day was provided by the Wolds Community Bus and supported by Community Lincs.
