A garden in the heart of the Wolds opens for the first time this weekend as part of the NGS scheme.
Pear Tree Cottage in Goulceby, home of Jill Mowbray and Miranda Manning Press, holds its charity open day this Sunday, July 20, from 11am to 4pm.
The garden, which surrounds the house on three sides, is an oasis of bright colour within this delightful village.
The balance of perennials and annuals ensures a vibrant display throughout the seasons.
Productive fruit and vegetable plots and greenhouses lie alongside the borders, which adds to the verdant atmosphere within the garden.
Admission is £3, children free.
Plants and home made teas will be on sale too.
