WI members learnt more than just the price of beef when Frank Preston spoke at the January meeting.
Binbrook’s independent butcher since 1968, Frank gave an insight into the life of a butcher, from when he started to the present day.
He also gave a demonstration of how he links sausages and how to keep knifes sharp.
The next meeting is on Thursday February 5 in the village hall at 7.15pm, when the speaker will be Sqn Ldr Ruth Shackleton on ‘Life with the Red Arrows’.
Ruth will be talking about life in the RAF with particular reference to her role as manager of the aerobatic team.
This is an open meeting to which everyone is welcome.
There will be a raffle, with all proceeds going to a service charity and the bar will be open before and after talk.
Admission is £3.50, under 12s free, which includes tea and biscuits.
