COUNCILLORS were pressing for action to ‘sweep away;’ the oldest part of Market Rasen’s junior school this week back in 1968.
Children at the school, in Pasture Lane, were being put at risk as it was reported that heavy traffic was steadily growing due to the expansion of one factory and the setting up of two new industrial units down the lane.
The need for a new school had been raised many times. Indeed, a field had been bought and estimates made, but the new school was still awaited.
