Like other WIs across the county, members at Ludford set about discussing the resolution going forward to the national AGM next month in London.
The resolution refers to the assessment of need in long term care, but as it was such a complex issue, members decided to leave it to delegate Margaret Dawson to make the vote on the day after hearing arguments for and against.
The group also welcomed Caroline Swindin, fundraising officer for St Barnabas Hospice to the meeting.
Caroline spoke on the wide-ranging work done by the charity across the area and in particular through its services at Louth Hospice.
The next meeting will be on June 3, with a talk on Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
