The North Lincoln Horticultural Society Show takes place on Saturday, September 7, at the Bailgate Methodist Church Hall.
If recent rain has brought on your beans or helped to ripen your raspberries, why not put them in to one of the area’s most popular gardening showcases.
Anyone can enter and have the standard of their produce judged, as it is open to both members and non-members to exhibit and admire the displays.
And there is an enlarged schedule of 80 classes from the usual fruit, flower and vegetable categories through to cookery, preserves and many classes for children and young people up to aged 18.
Entries cost only 20p each and must be registered by September 4, for staging on the morning of the show. The show is open at 2pm, with an auction of produce shortly after 3pm and a range of cookery, floral art, composting and other demonstrations from noon.
Copies of the show schedule and entry forms are available from the society’s store at Clarence Street, off Mount Street in the north of the city, during opening hours on Saturday mornings, or online at http://community.lincolnshire.gov.uk/northlincolnhorticulturalsociety.
