Containers with Class - Former head gardener at Normanby Hall, Sue Hoy, will be giving a talk and slide show presentation in the village hall this Friday, March 27.

Tickets cost £3 and the talk will be followed by a plant sale and refreshments.

To reserve a place call 01652 678063; some tickets may be available on the door, subject to availability.

Sue has kindly agreed to give the talk in support of Howsham’s entry into this year’s CPRE Northern Lincolnshire Best Kept Village Competition.

Last year, Howsham scooped first prize in the small village category at the first time of entering, and this year will be competing in the previous winner’s category.

Together with neighbouring village Cadney, Howsham will also be hosting an Open Gardens event this year on June 7, when at least ten gardens will be open between the two villages.
