Market Rasen Gardening Club held its first meeting after the summer break and welcomed two new members.
The speaker for the evening was Alison Walling, who talked about seed harvesting, preserving and sowing, after which there was a discussion on the benefits of putting seeds in the fridge.
Members were reminded about the photography competition in November. Schedules for the autumn show were given out.
The stall at the summer market had raised £188.10, to which Jose Grayson added a £20 donation.
This year’s three-way quiz was discussed and Cecile Povey, Penny Lyle and Margaret Allerston volunteered to be on the team.
East Barkwith had withdrawn from the event, with Wragby volunteering to take their place.
