The year got off to a very icy start back in 1962 - much to the delight of these adventurous souls at Tealby.
The lakes in Bayons Park had frozen over and enthusiastic skaters had enjoyed a second weekend of good sport.
It had been the intention to hold an organised games event, but a rapid change in the weather had resulted in the ice all but disappearing the day before the Market Rasen Mail hit the shelves.
Were you one of the skaters? Send us your memories and photographs in the usual way.
