An inspiring evening was had at this month’s meeting seeing how everyday objects could be up-scaled using glass mosaics.
Karen Frosdick gave a lively and informative demonstration on how she does it, going through the processes needed to make a sparkly fruit dish.
A workshop will be organised for September.
Winner of the competition for a multi-coloured item was Hilary Harris, with a long stitch embroidery, and the flower of the month was won by new member Loreta Sloan, with a black tulip.
At the next meeting, on June 5 in the village hall at 7.15pm, Brian Peep, a volunteer for the Humber Sloop Society, will give a presentation about the work being done and the sailing trips they do on the Humber.
