Great finance deals on affordable cars

Thanks to Personal Contract Purchase finance schemes, it’s never been cheaper or easier to buy a brand new car. PCPs allow you to pay a deposit then spread low monthly payments over several years. They’re super-flexible, too, allowing for a change in the buyer’s circumstances.

Here are our top five deals on small, affordable cars, all available with a 15% deposit, three-year scheme and 30,000-mile limit.

Dacia Sandero 1.2 SCe Ambience 5dr: £96 per month

The deal: 3-year PCP with 7.9% APR and a Dacia deposit contribution of £500
Starting at £5995 for the base variant, the Dacia Sandero is the cheapest car on sale in the UK. The better-equipped Ambience includes Bluetooth, remote locking and electric front windows delivers perfect no-frills motoring.

Dacia Logan MCV 1.2 Access 5dr: £97 per month

The deal: 3-year PCP with 7.9% APR and a Dacia deposit contribution of £500
The Dacia Logan MCV is the Sandero’s roomy estate stablemate, which offers huge space for a great price. With its unpainted bumpers and basic-look cabin, our low-spec Access suits the model’s workmanlike feel.

Kia Picanto 1.0 65 1 Air 5dr: £105 per month

The deal: 3-year PCP with 0% APR
At just over £100 per month, the little Kia Picanto remains a great deal. It’s about to be replaced with the next-generation model, so this deal won’t last, but it’s a super-affordable buy that’s fun to drive and comes complete with air-conditioning.

Skoda Fabia 1.0 MPI 60 S 5dr: £107

The deal: 3-year PCP with 2.9% APR and a Skoda deposit contribution of £2000
What Car? reckons the Skoda Fabia is the best small car money can buy, and now you can get your hands on one for £107 a month. Skoda’s £2000 deposit contribution more than makes up for the underpowered 1.0-litre engine and lack of air-con.

Suzuki Celerio 1.0 SZ2 5dr: £109

The deal: 3-year PCP with 5.9% APR
A triumph of packaging, Suzuki’s budget Celerio has a great little 1.0-litre engine, good kit levels and impressive running costs. It’s a bargain in this SZ2 spec, and makes a lot of sense even in higher SZ3 trim, as you get great extra equipment.
