Fun Scrabble - Teams of two players from WIs in the Witham Group enjoyed their annual fun evening of Scrabble in the town hall, competing in friendly fashion for the Canwick Trophy.

It was organised by group treasurer Audrey Saul, a member of both Bardney and Wragby WIs, who was also in charge of the dictionary checking any words which were queried.

And the winners were Maureen Baker and Margaret Wright of Heighington WI.

Janet Box and Vicky James - No Idea - from Wragby WI took second place, with another Wragby team of Linda King and Margaret Kane - the Wragby Girls - in third place.

Coffee morning - Members of the Wragby branch of Disability Lincs invited visitors to join them at an Easter Coffee Morning in the town hall annexe where they set up stalls and organised competitions to help give a boost to funds.

There was a competition for a decorated plant pot and everyone present was asked to vote for their favourite from the display, with Jessica Foster’s design being the winning entry, Dennis and Jean Brader second and Pauline Cooper third.

There was a large selection of prizes donated for the raffle too and proceeds amounted to £277.90, with thanks going to everyone who gave their support.

Local talent entertains - Everyone is invited to go along to the town hall this Saturday, May 17, at 7.30pm and take their seats for a Variety Show, which sees local people take to the stage to raise funds for the Wragby and District Swimming Pool.

Admission £4 for adults and £1 for children.
