Visitors to Market Rasen won’t have to head to the coast to spend time on the beach this Saturday - there will be one in the middle of town/
The beach - and various other attractions - have been specially ‘imported’ as part of Rasen’s latest Mr Big Saturday Market.
Organisers are already counting down the clock to what promises to be one of the biggest events in Rasen’s calendar.
The market, which starts at 9am, is being focused in the Market Place and the square will be jam-packed full of ‘goodies’ and family entertainment.
There will be a variety of stalls promoting some of Lincolnshire’s finest produce.
Many stalls will feature food while there will also be examples of local crafts.
Apart from the beach, there will be a barbecue, strawberries and ice-cream, a tombola, a caricaturist and a host of artisan delights.
There are also other events taking place in the town which will again feature free parking as a major attraction.
Independent businesses on the High Street will be hoping for a busy day and will be taking part in a special promotion for the retailer of the month.
Market Rasen Primary School is determined not to miss out.
The school is holding its annual summer fete to coincide with what promises to be a day to remember.
Again, the fete will feature a host of fun attractions for the whole family.
A spokesman said: “The day is a great opportunity to put Market Rasen on the map.
“We’re hoping as many people as possible come along .
“We’re just hoping the sun shines.”
