The Vamps, the newest boy band on the block with more than 10-million internet views are on their way to Market Rasen Racecourse.
They will join McFly on Saturday August 31 for the second part of the racecourse’s sensational ‘Rasen Rocks’ schedule this summer.
A young four-piece band from the Midlands, The Vamps comprises vocalist Bradley Will Simpson, guitarist James McVey, bassist Connor Ball and drummer Tristan Evans.
They have over 10 million views on YouTube and are signed to new super label EMI Virgin.
They were first spotted when their cover of One Direction’s Live While We’re Young soared to over 300,000 views on YouTube in under a week.
In the first half of ‘Rasen Rocks’, on Saturday August 17, Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter Scott Mills will star at the racecourse.
Pip Kirkby, the racecourse’s general manager, said: “The Vamps are a fantastic booking to join McFly for ‘Rasen Rocks’ 2013.
“I’m sure thousands of their fans will want to hear them live and we look forward to welcoming such a new talent on the British music scene to the racecourse.
“Rasen Rocks has grown in popularity each year and 2013 promises to be the best yet.
“We’ve already had a rush for tickets for what are two really good evenings for all the family to enjoy. They are fun-filled occasions that are not to be missed this summer.”
Tickets for both Saturday nights (August 17 and 31) can be bought online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk, by telephone on 0844 579 3009 or at the racecourse in person.
Both fixtures are among the best attended of the year at the racecourse and advance purchase is highly recommended. The prices are: County £25 (Scott Mills)/£29 (McFly/The Vamps); Tattersalls £20/£24; Family £15/£19.
Unlike horse racing only fixtures at Market Rasen Racecourse when accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge, tickets for children aged five years and over will cost £6 each for Scott Mills and £8 each for McFly/The Vamps. Children’s tickets are limited in number, so early purchase is advisable - there is a maximum of four children’s tickets per paying adult.
