THE WOLDS Walking Festival gets under way this Saturday, with activities all day at Gunby Hall near Spilsby.
The launch event will feature a range of walks around the area, as well as guided walks in the grounds of the 18th century hall.
The 16-day festival features 92 walks across the Wolds area, so there is sure to be something to suit everyone.
Closer to home, highlights include walks from Binbrook, Treasures of Tealby and even a chocolate walk.
Some of the walks will feature access to areas not normally open to walkers and places need to be booked in advance.
On Sunday, June 3, Walesby’s hilltop church will be the focus for a short uphill walk from the village hall at 2.30pm for the Annual Ramblers Service at 3pm.
And don’t forget the festival finale will be held in Caistor on June 10, when the town will also be granted its Walkers are Welcome status.
A number of walks in the Market Rasen and Caistor area are listed below and full details of all the walks, most of which are free, are available in the festival brochure, which is available from local information points or online at www.woldswalkingfestival.co.uk
