A MARKET Rasen man will be showing two sides to his personality as he takes on the title role in Jekyll & Hyde at Louth’s Riverhead Theatre next week.

But, as a retired pharmacist, John Elliott will be very much at home in this role as he mixes potions in Jekyll’s laboratory.

The play opens with Dr Jekyll, a fine upstanding gentleman, on the brink of discovering the key to man’s inner reality.

His experiments on himself prove his formula works, but unfortunately his ‘real’ self turns out to be the monster Edward Hyde, with horrifying consequences.

Ably supported by a strong team of actors with a backdrop of period set, costumes and lighting, this play is both rousing and thought provoking.

Jekyll & Hyde takes to the stage each evening from March 19 to 24 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £7.35 from the box office on 01507 600350.
