Cole Porter musical Anything Goes is being performed by students from King Edward VI Grammar School at Louth Playgoers Riverhead Theatre later this month.

Set aboard the ocean liner SS American, Anything Goes is the story of nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney who is en route from New York to England.

Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh.

Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy number 13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma.

But with the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.

The show runs from Tuesday January 27 to Saturday January 31, with performances at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £9, concessions £7, from the box office on 01507 600350 or online at www.louthplaygoers.com
