On Saturday May 17 the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival launches for the 10th year running with 128 walks over 16 days.
The festival opens with a family day out at Healing Manor Hotel, Healing near Grimsby.
The programme of walks on offer throughout the day make the most of historic Healing, a moated settlement designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Emma Lingard, who presents Estuary TV’s Lingard’s Lincolnshire Rambles, will be leading walks, with hotel owner Mark Brennan giving visitors guided tours of the transformed Victorian country manor.
History will be brought to life for children by Heritage Lincolnshire, with a chance to make swords and shields and experience knightly battle in the time of William the Conqueror.
The launch starts at 10am with free parking courtesy of Healing school.
