LIMITED tickets are still available for what is widely regarded as one of Lincoln’s seasonal highlights – The Journey.
The promenade Nativity led by Mary, Joseph and a donkey takes place in the grounds of Lincoln Castle every night this coming weekend, Friday to Monday, December 16-19.
Against the backdrop of the medieval castle walls and under starlit skies, shepherds, wise men, the angel Gabriel and innkeepers play out their parts with poetry and music adding to the narrative.
Each performance lasts around 45 minutes and involves outdoor movement, so wrap up warm and prepare for a magical experience which is guaranteed to touch the hearts of all ages.
Performances are at 6pm and 8pm, with tickets still available for each night’s 8pm slot and some for Friday at 6pm. Gates open half an hour beforehand for the serving of mulled wine and refreshments.
Booking is advised through Goodies sweet shop on The Strait (01522 525307), or tickets may be available on the gate on the night, costing £4 and £6.
All proceeds are in aid of the Kidney Patients facilities at Lincoln County Hospital.
