Amici Touring Theatre is once again venturing into Elizabethan theatre and the work of William Shakespeare, following last year’s highly successful production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing.’

A slightly darker comedy, ‘The Merchant of Venice’ nonetheless explores strong themes of love, conflict and mistaken identity.

The actors will be performing at four venues, the last of which being in the grounds of a pub.

The tour starts on May 29 at The Broadbent Theatre in Wickenby, 7.30pm.

Tickets £9 and £8 from www.broadbenttheatre.org or call 01673 885500.

Other dates are: May 30 at The Collection in Lincoln,1pm and Osgodby Village Hall, 7.30pm, and finally, on Sunday May 31, at The Nags Head in Middle Rasen, 3pm, where you need to take along a chair.

Tickets for these performances are available by calling 01673 843575.
