Top London Blues/Rock band Roadhouse make a rare foray outside the capital to make their annual appearance at this weekend’s Blues Session at Holton le Moor’s Hope Tavern.
A collaboration between experienced musicians and a much younger, talented pool of female vocalists, notably Mandy G, Roadhouse is one of the UK’s most established big stage Blues/Rock acts.
Formed in 1991 by Gary Boner, ably assisted throughout by the driving bass of Bill Hobley and the powerful drumming of Roger Hunt, they now have a catalogue of more than 2,000 live shows and 11 critically acclaimed CDs.
Seizing on an eclectic mix of influences from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Creedence Clearwater Revival, the band has developed a sound all of its own.
Hear them at The Hope Tavern this Sunday, April 14, from 4pm; door charge £8.
