Truly British R’n’B comes to The Hope Tavern at Holton le Moor this weekend as the Tom Gee band perform at the Sunday Blues session.
Performing together for four years now, they are an extremely tight and capable outfit.
Tom Gee takes the lead vocalist and guitarist role, as well as writing most of the lyrics and music.
The band incorporates blues, soul and funk at its very best.
Their performance style can be described as sweet and mellow laid back and late night groove with meandering guitar passages expressing a definite jazz influence.
This band is one of a long line of exciting top young bands to visit the Hope Tavern that are bubbling just below the surface of fame and fortune with national recognition.
They have toured extensively around the UK appearing at major festivals and venues.
And on March 23 they add The Hope Tavern to their growing list, so see them while you can.
The gig starts at the usual time of 4pm and the door charge is £8.
