This Sunday’s gig (March 31) at The Hope Tavern at Holton le Moor sees the visit of the Steve Fulsham Band.
Here’s what landlord Graeme Sellars has to say.
This outfit is one of those bands who, once you’ve seen and heard them, you just want more, and more.
Steve has been playing around the north of England for around ten years, but when he got together recently with Sean Clough (drums) and Jon Whinham (bass), things started to really cook.
The band’s roots are firmly laid in vintage British rock and blues.
Steve says: “I learned to play by jamming to records by Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Free, Jimi, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray, and early Fleetwood Mac.
“Now I’ve found two guys who just love to jam on stage, as much as I do and we’re having so much fun doing it.” Their audiences can’t help but pick up on this too.
Steve also writes a lot of pretty good songs for the band, which always go down as well as any of the covers they play.
“It’s great when you’re playing your own songs, and you look out, and people are singing along, like they’ve known them for years....You cant beat that,” adds Steve
This band will leave you with a smile on your face a mile wide, do not miss them!
The gig starts at 4pm and the door charge is £7.
