Scunthorpe’s Baths Hall is playing host to Paul Weller next spring.
The show, on March 17, is part of his 14-date tour, which focuses on the ‘often missed’ towns.
And it is the only one in the Lincolnshire and Humber region.
Having split up The Jam at the height of their powers in 1982 after six era-defining albums, Paul Weller spent the rest of the 80s challenging pop convention with The Style Council releasing five albums during their eclectic career.
Forging a solo career in the early 90s, Paul Weller was reinstalled as the pre-eminent songwriter of his generation, with a total of 11 solo albums to him name and winning a long list of awards, including the prestigious Ivor Novello award for Lifetime achievement in 2010 and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2006.
Paul’s as yet un-named 12th studio album will be released in the spring.
Tickets for the Scunthorpe gig go on general release this Friday at 9am through via www.bathshall.co.uk and from 10am in person at the box office or by calling 0844 854277.
Guests on The Baths Hall email mailing list will receive a special code to access a pre-sale from 10am on Thursday.
