Nashville-based singer-songwriter Gretchen Peters is coming to Lincoln as part of her UK tour.

Since the release of her “career album” (NPR), 2012’s Hello Cruel World, the two-time Grammy nominee has been in near-constant motion, touring for the past two years and releasing a live DVD and CD, Woman On The Wheel, in early 2013.

She’s appeared at the Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk Festivals; and in addition to headlining her own sold-out tours, she’s supported country and folk legends Guy Clark and Arlo Guthrie, plus John Prine, with whom she duetted at several shows.

Her latest accolade was her induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame last October, where she joined the list of 192 existing inductees, including Johnny Cash, Don & Phil Everly, Woody Guthrie, and Dolly Parton.

And she will be at Lincoln’s Engine Shed on Friday March 27.
