Another great evening of music is on the cards at Kirton Town Hall Live this Friday, May 23, as Amanda Shires is welcomed back.

When she played THL in 2011, she was on her first UK headlining tour in support of her then, new CD ‘Carrying Lightning.’

And it was one of the year’s best concerts.

Since then she has got married, to fellow musician Jason Isbell, and last September released her latest CD ‘Down Fell The Doves.’

Amanda is an incredibly talented violinist, having played the instrument since child hood.

She writes fascinating, insightful songs and sings with a little crack in her voice, which wrings out the full emotion in the songs.

For this tour she will be accompanied by double bass player Stephanie Dickinson.

Support will come from Ellen Smith, lead singer of Leeds band Ellen and The
Escapades, who played a sell-out concert at THL in May, 2013.

Door open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Advance tickets are priced at £12 from the OneStop store in the town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com
