Brigg acoustic music lovers can look forward to a feast of music later this month as the town stages ‘Briggstock’.
The Doublecross, Bad Ideas, Grimsby’s newest folk duo Brudgar, 16-year-old Gainsborough guitarist Lizzie Goddard, punk and rock and roll band ‘Dynamite-Dynamite’ and vocalist Rachel Lewis are among those who will feature.
And there will, of course, be a stage presence for Brigg Music Club House Band, whose inspiration is town councillor James Truepenny.
For 15 years the band has been staging regular concerts and music evenings and are widely recognised in the town as the inspiration for local students to ‘get out there and make music.’
The event, held for the first time in 2012, takes place in the market place on Saturday, August 31, from 10am and is being promoted by Brigg Business Partnership.
