Birds of Chicago play at Kirton Town Hall Live

Two of the most compelling voices in American roots music combine for this week’s Town Hall Live gig in Kirton Lindsey.

Birds of Chicago is a collective based around Jeremy Lindsay (JT Nero) and Alison Russell (Po’girl).

They toured as JT Nero before joining forces as Birds of Chicago and in September 2012 released their debut CD.

Not too perfect, not all saccharine, you hear echoes of folk, gospel and classic soul.

At Kirton, the band will also include Peter Mulvey on guitar and Will Waghorn on drums.

Peter will also play a solo set at the start of the evening.

Tickets for the gig on Sunday, April 7, cost £10 in advance (£12 on the door) from One Stop and Premier stores in Kirton, Brian on 01652 649230 or from wegottickets.com

Doors open at 7pm, with music from around 7.30pm.
