Sunday’s Blues Session at the Hope Tavern brings the Robin Bibi Band from London on a return visit to the Holton le Moor venue after three years.
Robin has a reputation as one of the UK’s top blues/rock guitarists and having paid his dues working with such names as Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Ben.E.King, The Pretty Things and Helen Shapiro, he launched his own Robin Bibi Band in the late 90s.
He has been nominated in the British Blues awards for Guitar and recently won an Award for Best Guitar Solo from the WRC above solos by Joe Bonamassa and Richie Sambora!!
Highly regarded as a musician’s musician - hardworking and seemingly ubiquitous- Robin Bibi is a well established name, with a reputation for excellence, both as a guitarist and as a singer.
Robin will be remembered at the Tavern for his “walkabout” solo when he played from the steps of the signal box over the A46 and remained in perfect sync with the rest of the band.
The show this Sunday, November 15, starts at 4pm and the door charge is £8.
