Vibrant and colourful works of art inspired by natural
beauty make up the latest
exhibition to come to Caistor Art and Heritage Centre.

Grimsby born artist Carol
Emsley, who has enjoyed
painting for most of her life, gained an art degree at
Hull University as a mature student.

Carol works in vibrant colour in pastels and oils and her images are bold, emotional, sensitive, atmospheric and dramatic.

Much of Carol’s work is
inspired by cornfields, sunrise and sunset, rivers, hedgerows and flowers, using colour, painting
people and using different
media and techniques.

Carol has been successful by being a prize winner in
International Artist Magazine Flowers and Gardens competition and three times a prize winner for Best Oil Painting with the Society of Floral
Painters.

Carol Schofield, visitor to the exhibition, said: “This is truly a fantastic exhibition showing different genres from pastels and oils and varied subject matter including still life, landscapes and beach scenes. Wonderful.”

The exhibition is on show until December 31.
