An action packed day of fun and games is being held in Middle Rasen next month to help mark the 60th
anniversary of the Queen’s
coronation.

Saturday, June 1 is Gala Day at the village hall.

And in readiness for the celebration organisers are asking for donations of remnants of fabric for the bunting for fun activity.

Fabric can be dropped off at Rhodes Electrical on the corner of Market Rasen’s Oxford Street.

And on the day itself, there will be a range of stalls, activities and displays by
local groups throughout the day.

Join in the afternoon races and fancy dress parade, chat with Peppa Pig and her brother George, admire the photographs from bygone years and be well fed at the lunch from 12 noon to 1pm or the tea with strawberry treats from 1pm onwards.

The day will be rounded off with a gala dinner in the village hall, with entertainment from Peculiar Clark and other famous local artistes.

Entry is by ticket only, which cost £7.50 each.

There is optional fancy dress of 1950s style.

Details and tickets from Joyce Rhodes 01673 842877 or Anne walker 01673 842099.
