TEXAN songstress Amanda Shires takes to the stage at Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall for the latest Town Hall Live gig.
From Mineral Wells, Amanda was last year voted artist of the year by Texas Music Magazine and her song, When You Need A Train It Never Comes, was voted fifth-best song of 2011 by American Songwriter.
Besides being a master on the violin and ukulele, Amanda has become an accomplished songwriter and as a singer she is unlike any other artist with her heartfelt yet fragile voice.
Amanda has come a long way since her only other appearance in the area, at The Hangar in Scunthorpe, in 2006. Then she was just the fiddle player in Rod Picott’s band. Now she has blossomed into a fine singer/songwriter and headlines her first UK tour.
The Amanda Shires Trio will be playing on Sunday, April 15, with advance tickets £8 from wegottickets, the Premier and One Stop stores in Kirton or by ringing Brian on 01652 649230.
